Introduction
A public college born and growing simultaneously with Xiamen Special Economic Zone, XMUT was later upgraded to a public university of technology by the decision issued by President Xi Jinping, then Governor of Fujian. The past four decades has witnessed our fast growth. A college for first-line professionals for Xiamen Special Economic Zone in its first years, XMUT is today a provincial first-tier university with global ambitions and reach. Our mission is to help students develop and apply knowledge, skills and abilities for real world success through competency-based and industry-informed learning and teaching. Altogether, XMUT offers 71 undergraduate and graduate programs so designed to a student body of 21,000, including international students from more than 10 countries.
